Say your organization has data insights and wants to share them with groups of people or the general public. To make those insights accessible to the target audience, various departments managing the data pipeline need to work together. That may be a challenge if each department uses its own language and jargon. If this sounds familiar, try using the "fish in the pond" analogy the next time you need to communicate better across teams. It's a great way to get everyone thinking about the data pipeline in the same way, says Christopher Laubenthal, who has found personal success using this analogy in his own career.
